My idea of rendition of Re-imagning images, Tradition, and Family.
This photo was taken with the non-Chinese part of my heritage on the eve of the Chinese New Year . Despite having to be 'Rojak'( Malaysian term for mixed culture), The essence of Chinese New Year can be represented through the togetherness that unites families despite being distant or far, Family is everything to me.
That is my take on Re-imagining Energy.Take up the challenge now and head on over to Petronas CNY Photography Contest Facebook app now and join for yourselves and win cash prizes!! it’s that simple. Join now. FAST!Its not or never!

Hello once again dear readers! It has been a very business month for me and thusly diverting me from leaving my blog on a hiatus. My deepest apologese for my absence. But hey! I am back! back to blog so hear it goes!
As most of the chinese people know, Chinese New Year has recently ended but no harm wishing u guys a belated CNY! So without furthur or due. Every year,Petronas has their very own meaningful advertisement related to the culture and tradition of Malaysian Chinese people during Chinese New Year.We are but in grief for the late Yasmin's departure a few years ago. Nevertheless, I have faith Petronas will not disappoint us with their ever meaningful commercials despite the absence of the late Yasmin Ahmad.
So, on the 17th of Jan 2012, the launching of the Petronas Chinese New Year Campaign was held at the Galeria Petronas in Kuala Lumpur.
The campaign kicked off with an opening speech by PETRONAS’ Senior General Manager of Group Corporate Affairs Division Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah.
A wise quote by the man which lead him to say,
“The TVC is meant to celebrate not just the Year of the Dragon, but the spirit of perseverance, adaptability and determination as captured in each of the stories it depicts. This energy is something that should inspire us all as we navigate through the challenges we face in life,”
Datuk Mohammad Medan Abdullah preparing "Yee Sang" for the cliche "Lou"( tossing of the dish) with people from the media as well as Petronas.
And whats a Chinese New Year celebration without........
LION DANCES!
As mentioned earlier, every year Petronas never fails at mesmerizing us with their meaningful advertisements which bring meaning of togetherness and trandition. their new TVC titled “Coming Home”, which was shot in Malaysia, England, Belgium, China and India – depicts six separate yet intertwining stories of individuals around the world who, no matter how far they have come in life, stay true to their roots and tradition which is the true essence of the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
In conjunction with the campaign, PETRONAS is going to give everyone a surprise as PETRONAS is also organising a photography contest themed Reimagining Energy™, in collaboration with Leica Camera AG.
